why traders sell female clothes and some female dress can be found in chests.

And i cannot wear female clothes, can i gift it to Theresa and make her wear it ?

Some of the noble dresses are worth money, or else are the clothes that an NPC wears and have stashed in the chest. Steal it while they're sleeping and they'll roam the town in nightclothes until the town resets.

Also I think, even though it doesn't actually give it to her, you have the option of gifting Theresa clothing instead of jewelry or a dagger if you have one in inventory during the romance quest.
But, no, she won't wear it. Maybe if you have clothes without a stolen tag you can swap out her regular clothes using the container?

except you cant. when you do, they react like they receive it, when the dress stays in your inventory.

anyways, it would be nice to be able to cross dress and the guards would go after you and you get burned after a trial of heresy or whatnot...for laughs...

You can gift them to Theresa I think, but she doesn't actually put them on for some reason. Devs overlooked it I guess

well idk its more complicated, if i gift Theresa luxury decorated noble dress she will have to wear only on ocasions not on every day doing chores xD

If I give her like 50 fancy dresses she could totally do yardwork in them without a care lol
