Yes it seems like it's the case, but the ceremonial seems to have more durability
Ah yeah, haven't really tried an axe or mace yet tbh, I always use the longsword I should probably try the mace atleast
There is alot less combos with axe/mace. The game put alot of effort on sword duels, but for the rest, it seems rushed.
Anyway, I play with an axe because in my opinion, the ''mercy kill'' mini-cutscene looks badassier, if this is a word.
Edit : The axe I use is lvl3 strenght, just to be able to land more than one hit before the kill. Tbh, playing with the best stats weapons/gear kind of destroy the game. Sure I like progression in games and it's important to feel stronger than you were at the begining, but seems this game didnt do it well.
Just checked mine and even with 18str, the ceremonial does 1 less damage in the stats page than the baliff. /shrug
Yeah the mercy kill for the longsword without shield is pretty neat too lol
