Bailiff's mace deals more damage than ceremonial?
When I first bought the mace I thought it might be due to blacksmith's son buffing the damage of the bailiff's mace. I was partially correc that accounted for some of the difference but it still deals 13 more damage than the ceremonial mace (124 vs 111). In theory they should deal the same damage so does anyone know why this is?

You don't meet the stat requirement on the ceremonial is all I can think of.

I have 14 strength, the only thing I can think of is that it adds damage to the bailiff's mace because I exceed the strength requirement of the bailiff's mace more so than the ceremonial mace... could well be a bug as well.

Yes it seems like it's the case, but the ceremonial seems to have more durability

best sword stats over all, maces are on a different category since you cant slash and stab with them

Ah yeah, haven't really tried an axe or mace yet tbh, I always use the longsword I should probably try the mace atleast

There is alot less combos with axe/mace. The game put alot of effort on sword duels, but for the rest, it seems rushed.

Anyway, I play with an axe because in my opinion, the ''mercy kill'' mini-cutscene looks badassier, if this is a word.

Edit : The axe I use is lvl3 strenght, just to be able to land more than one hit before the kill. Tbh, playing with the best stats weapons/gear kind of destroy the game. Sure I like progression in games and it's important to feel stronger than you were at the begining, but seems this game didnt do it well.

Durability is kind of a non issue since you use a shield with a mace so blocking with the weapon is not really a thing. Bashinig people doesn't wear it out.

Just checked mine and even with 18str, the ceremonial does 1 less damage in the stats page than the baliff. /shrug

Yeah the mercy kill for the longsword without shield is pretty neat too lol
