Worst Optimized Game I've Ever Seen

GTX 1660 Ti (~GTX 1070) > GTX 1060
i5 6500 < i7 3770 (-%10-%15)

1920x1080, medium to high settings. Game runs 45-50 fps on average and suddenly drops 5-10fps when I enter villages. It is not playable.

I even tried to install some optimization mods but it didn't work.

So play those games, then. This one so far has more advanced graphics, rather specific engine and 3.3ghz CPU as MINIMUM requirement. I'm not a specialist but your CPU seems to be an obvious bottleneck, if you have any care locating it and didn't come here to just whine
Not sure what else I can recommend. I mean I play on potato, too, but I'm not even trying it on High and I'm fine

There are FPS drops in towns but not that extreme. Your old i5 is probably the culprit. This is one of the most CPU heavy games ever made, it's running a real-time simulation of the entire world 24/7.

Most of those "modern games" you're talking about, especially FP shooters, may be pretty but they're also extremely simple, that's why you can run them without problems. KCD is basically one of the first true next-gen games running on the old-gen hardware.

Why it's running on background real-time even I'm not in that region? Which AAA game do that? None of them. Because this is madness.

Oh well at the end of the day this is just a glorified indie game with much ambition but even more bugs and problems. The game will always run like garbage because technically it is.

Use some logic - It's nothing to do with optimisation, since it runs fine for you for a while.

Your computer is doing something, where it's either throttling or loses focus.

If you're not going to try and find that out, by for example using an osd to show real time frequencies etc. of cpu/gpu, and just come on here crying like a baby that it's "worst i've ever seen" then you're going to have to expect some hostility to your immature approach.

I'm already using MSI Afterburner and RivaTuner.
