Yeah, the immersion is totally broken by not being able to play as a female in a male-protagonist story...

YEP...the Middle Ages just Were NOT! an AMAZON womens time at all (Maybe Joan of Arc, but theres little evidence to this, as it is a Church Story right?) and...the Church was Loosing Ground to Protestants at the time too....(sigh)....Like I said...its prob. gonna be a DLC for all the 'Fantasy" Players in the Future, (YEP even the DEV"s got an Award for Best Fantasy and chuckled over this as its an RPG...NOT a Fantasy game....LOL)

I mean, in all honesty, those are very few and rare exceptions. An overused and tiring argument. I am just saying the devs intended the main character to be the son of a blacksmith. If this was a true sandbox/RPG, that would be a viable argument.

Dont yell at me about it or Complain, I did offer the DLC shortcut to see for yourself right? Thing is, its a Game, not a Gender Statement. They make it for "MONEY", and I full well suspect that those DLC's will get more $$$ for those of US that want to look at Cartoon Pics of Women, (yep, its really what it is) in the third person? As this is an FPS mainly game....I dont really see the Point myself, (no further replies forthcoming after this)

Although an interesting take, for the story they are telling in the time period that it's set it wouldn't work. One key set piece would be impossible. Let alone the cost or re-recording lines.

One of their stretch goals from the kickstarter was a DLC mode from the point of view of a female character, so it'll come out eventually.

yes of course. female-warrior knocking down heavy armored enemies with 2h axes. KCD is kinda realistic game with plot in medieval times. its not fukken fantasy game.
why now in every game people are butthurting about white male character we play? why every time people must ruin devs' ideas?
btw- i've never seen people complaining about male char in games like Tomb Rider etc where main char is female.

your question is not ridiculous, but we had quite a few heated discussions (not to say troll topics) about this on here. and unfortunately most of them turned into personal bashing pretty quick.

but yeah, the story is written about a specific character (henry), so it's like asking: why is there no male main character option in, let's say, tomb raider. or a female geralt in the witcher series.

and the historic accurate approach of this game is another thing to consider. there will be a DLC where you will be able to play as a female, but don't expect it to be about a female knight or something.

Again, the story is about a male-protagonist named Henry, the original intent of the devs. Your argument is as unclear as your grammar and it is hard to follow your precise point.
