Monastery Key Confiscated

What happens when you get searched by one of the Circators? where do the confiscated items go? I had the Monastery Key on me and I lost it. He took it, my groschen and lock picks. I loaded an earlier save and put the groschen and lockpicks in the chest in the Dormitory but it wont let me drop the key from my inventory. Does it go back to its original place? (I took the one from the kitchen).

Hmmmmm. You should still have the Monastery Key. I was imprisoned many times because I missed my duties, however I always had the key once I was able to get hold of it.
Sounds like a new bug thanks to this update.

Sounds like it doesnt it? Usually important quest related things stay in your inventory no matter what. I will see what happens and also see if the key is returned to its old place.

OK so far on the second try I havent been stopped and have managed to speak to the Novice who I know is the person I have to find (keen to avoid spoilers). He has now taken the key for the escape. Seems to be OK at present.

Definitely a possible bug. This time went OK and I left with the person concerned and a certain book I was after. Just best to stop and reload a previous save if it happens to you.

You should have killed them when they tried to search you. It's better that way

Yea, but it depends where you are in the game. If you kill John you will miss a quest from him.

Killing them is too easy and my Henry has such a good reputation everywhere. I decided to try and avoid trouble which I did - mostly.....
