I wondered off and began ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around like immediately after killing these bandits and I had thought the one bandit was suspiciously skilled. One of Runts ♥♥♥♥♥ I bet.
What do you think "bandits" are?
They are a mix of peasants, soldiers, experienced men at arms, hedge knights and many other flavours of men who have chosen to turn to theivery/murder/'service for coin'. Their quality of skill and equipment will vary from 'Drunk' all the way to full harness and decades of experience in war.
These two are indifferent and average - far in excess of a 'basic Henry', but not nearly the match for Rattay soldiers or the like.
He is definitely the one you want to take out with the stealth or arrow opener for the fight. His light armor (and probably perk also) make him a formidable opponent, who counter-attacks quite frequently.
I did run into those two guys and ended up running from them but I have a feeling, that now that I have more levels, better stats, better weapons and armor that I could beat them.
Or just git gud. Those two bandits were ridiculously easy
I actually think warhorse did an excellent job at making your stats matter as well as your player skills and the game gives you opportunities to train both.
The other one with him will knife him so your final option is to fight the one that is still alive.
So you only have to fight one and if your not good enough to beat him then yes you can go and tell Bernard and he and his men will kill him for you and that is what I had to do for Merciful.
However, if you are talking about the two bandits at that little hunting camp that are also looking for Ginger then I have no idea how Bernard would help you, that is bull.
From what I know you have two options. One is, you can lie to Gingers friends that are protecting him and say you already killed them and they will tell you were Ginger is then you can talk to Ginger and he will be afraid and you can tell him the same lie and then tell him to go back and see what happens and the quest will move forward. The other option is to kill them.
If your having a hard time with that try to hit and run or do stealth. You must have a horse by this time stay on it run around and shoot arrows at them you do not have to be level 20 in anything to do that. Once I get a horse it's OP and unless they knock me off my horse and get around me I rule.
Recently, I just did it and I raided them at night and both were sleeping and when they woke up they were wearing their undies and just used their fists to fight me so with my sword it was easy to kill them both. I was only level 5 so I don't think you need to be level 17-20 that is OP. Sure when you get to the mill you can fool around and grind and level up greatly which will take some of the fun away from the challenge before you even do the first main quest and even with all that xp without the training you won't know all the tricks.
Thats exactly how it went . If you found the camp with 2 bandits and fought them yourself well then the rest is explained for us who did go back and Henry reports it to Bernard who then will send a grumbling guard to go with Henry to the camp where the 2 bandits are.
So dont say its bull that's like saying I'm lying.
Annoying that is when we just sharing what we did . You should know that everyone plays different and has different outcomes based on our actions.
