What I dislike: The bugs. Speaks for itself.
- Incredible, near photorealistic lighting engine
- Decent voice acting (main characters)
- Great sense of humor throughout the writing
- Beautifully designed UI/map aesthetic
- Codex is fascinating and great companion to main gameplay
CONS:
- Everything else
1. Voice Acting/Theatrics
2. Story/Lore
3. Terrain/Graphics
4. Interface/Realism
CONS
1. Eternal Load screen a few times and MY COMPUTER EXCEEDS the maximum recommended specs. Lost a bunch of progress a few times because the load screen stuck for 30 mins and had to restart game. (possibly poor modulizing?)
2. Realism is fun for a while, it needs some polishing to be more enjoyable. For example, I got in a fight, was bleeding, used bandages, but needed sleep to heal so screen red constantly, game won't let me sleep because "You have no time to lose," Merchant has only 10 gold to give so can't get money for my items worth 300 gold... Just, have a doctor or take off certain limitations for gods sake. Realism needs to be counterable. Also, playing through a FIVE HOUR INTRO (unless I'm that bad) and starting from nothing again? That annoyed the hell out of me at first. NEEDS POLISHING.
3. Cutscenes for talking and story, are top notch quality, like an A-movie, so props, but sometimes they should give the user more interaction and have less choreographed story. And throwing me straight into a fight after a load screen, where I have 1 second to raise my guard, is very frustrating.
OVERALL
They spent a long time on the PROS, then sold it AS A FINISHED PRODUCT... when its BASICALLY EARLY ACCESS. SHOULDN'T COST $60 YET! I'm playing another early access right now, only charged users $12, and it is way more advanced, with no bugs after three days of patches, and now they are ADDING to the game.
