where can i go to train my sword skills

i just beat the bandit camp and that made me realize i need to touch up on sword skills most of the game ive been doing thief stuff and being a speech master is there a way i can level sword skills without doing main quest or getting destroyed by 3 guys at once.

Advance the main quest just far enough until you can start training at Rattay with Captain Bernard. It's just after the prologue quests. Once at that point, you can level Strength Agility Defense Warfare Sword Mace Axe all pretty quickly without having to risk combat. And necessary to learn Perfect Block and Master Strike, which are indispensable (much more important than the perk combos, imho).

i found that guy guide on youtube but he wasnt there at the training spot i beat the bandit camp does he stay there or is there a place in castle he goes to

cant find bernard in rattay

He'll go to the castle at night, he's at the arena during normal "store" hours, if shops are open he's most likely hanging out next to the arena.

And it's the arena outside of Rattay, it's on the right side of the city, right when you leave the castle it will be right in front of you.

Rattay with Captain Bernard. It is SO IMPORTANT to spend AT LEAST ONE HOUR with him, train everything and then DO THE MASTER TRAININGS. This is a game-changer, after you learn those skills, fight is actually pretty easy from now on.
