Combat party/companion
Realism is the key point, so it understandable that Henry cannot face 5-8 sword at the same time. 1-3 people... maybe if Henry is skilled. But 5 people? Common now. He is Henry, not Sir Arthur Dayne.
Henry is the page of a knight, and should have some escort to follow around, or a fellow soldier to accompany him to do the work.
Getting a horse/mount in that time is a big deal and its shows the rank of the soldier. How come Henry always travel back and forth all alone. Where is Lydia when we need her gotdamm it.

ps: any tips on clearing a bandit camp with like 8 people full plate armor?

Sneak around and stealth kill them, if alot of patrols around take then one by one, if they raise the alarm just run away and hide then wait alittle and go back and repeat until youve dealt with them all, I usually sneak up to the bandit leader and stealth kill him in his sleep then battle the rest as they come cause they are usually weaker than the leader. bottom line is hit and run tactics

well yes, you can fight like that, but seems like a bit boring and feel like beating the game mechanic rather than the NPC itseft.

Indeed I dont do this often I usually try to beat them fair, but if I meet a super strong leader which i cant beat i resort to thinning the herd abit ;) but youre right on :)

Like someone already wrote ; Use stealth. AI is kind of bad. I cleared one at night, managed to stealth dagger kill 2 bandits in their sleep, other 3 or 4 woke up, only one attacked and others fled. I chased and killed one of them and lost track of the others, in this game, nights are dark.

Funny part is I returned to bandit camp to loot and decided to sleep in one of the bandit's bed, when I woke up in the morning, the two bandits that fled last night were sleeping in tents right next to mine. Well, stealth kill them.

As for combat : I use shield and axe. All I do is win clinches and bop their head with my axe. 2-3 shots on armored and one shot on no-helmets... Worst of all is that I gimped myself using a low level axe.

Kinda scary how effective cliches are once your skills are high. You can literally win any fight by running up them, clinch and hitting their head afterwards. Their is nothing they can do against that.

I fight with longsword and no shield my favourite way is to wait for their strike and then use a perfect block and then straight after use the stab attack, they usually fall down after two or three such hits, I use a sharp weapon ;)

Yeah, used to also. I unlocked every sword combos and it takes less 10 seconds to win a 2handed sword duel with Bernard, with real weapons. I changed to axe only to make fights last longer, because I was bored taking 10minutes to go to a bandits camp only to clear it in less than a minute.

I came across a berserker middle in the night somewhere in the woods, spoke to him and he said something about friendly combat etc... but it would be awesome if you could hire those guys to fight at your side.

A berserker ? I don't recall any of those... Was he called ''Faint-Hearted knight '' ?
