What factors you getting dirty ?
i know if you fight a lot you get your clothes / armor damaged and have bloody sword, i know if you run around the world your clothes gets dirty
but what actualy gets them dirty if i ride on horse will i get dirty less than running on foot ?
does it matter if run through grass or mud or indoors houses castles ?

sometimes i go clean clothes in bath house and 2 minutes later i am dirty as a pig 5 months in mud and muckus pool.

is it possible to avoid getting dirty ?

or it doesnt matter at all its just timed ?

Well if it was a timed thing then every nobleman, tailor, trader who never goes out into the forest would be completely filthy for no reason

I do think that riding a horse makes you less likely to get dirty, i've definitely noticed getting less dirty if I stay on my horse, but if I run around in a forest through mud and rivers i'll be filthy

I wish they cutscenes would also show how dirty you are (from head to toe).

Might not apply to the ones staying inside all day. But yeah, staying on the horse definitely makes me less dirty, I think also walking Capslock as a default button for toggle walking. So I don't think it's a timed thing. More like if you are running you get dirty faster.

Maybe the puddles and running off road increase this as well.

What definitely gets you dirty real quick is walking around in the rain / mud. Don't bother going to the bathhouse when it's raining. You'll barely be out the door before you're filthy as can be.

So unrealistic you would never get that dirty in a few days, maybe a month or so

One would think rain would wash my armor. (and lower its durability, come to think about it)

Have you actually stayed outdoors for hours marching through dirty roads, muddy woods, unclean environments while sneaking, fighting, running?

You won't stay clean for long when you do what Henry does in the game, especially not in the Middle Ages.

walking into rivers or water and rain makes you dirty.

And i've come to think that the faster you're walking the quicker you'll get dirty aswell

i think going through bushes (when you hear the brush sound) makes you dirty

You know people back then only had baths once a year, but Henry has a bath every few days or so - it’s ridiculous

No. That people only bathed this rarely is one of those annoying Middle Age myths that persist to this day. And I hate them, and I hate that so many people still believe them.

Yes, people didn't bathed every day, but then again, unlike Henry who has to deal with Nobles, most of the didn't and so had no reason to be constantly as clean as Henry has to be ingame.

But they did bath regularly, and didn't like being dirty. At least ever month, most of the times more often if they could. Among men, communal baths were a regular and popular event.

So Henry washing himself every few days makes perfect sense and is pretty accurate.

No, it's simply that what you wrote is wrong.

But I believed it and hence it was a lie thus was my life

If you wish to see it that way, so be it.

I realize this is a necro, but you really need correcting here.

Henry bathing every few days is accurate.

That is not the problem.

The issue is that 2 minutes will pass in this game before you are totally covered in much and you have to clean yourself 2-3 times an hour to stay clean. That is absolutely NOT "pretty accurate".
