Did you beat Hans Capon first time?

Like the title says... did you beat him at his archery & sword challenges on your first attempt?
I just did and having seen a few lets-plays of people loosing to him terribly - man that felt gooood!
Only won at archery by 11:10 but thrashed his @rse straight & true with a sword!

Bravo to whoever created the sword training lesson with Captain Bernard - that whole thing really felt like a proper lesson & I love that it wasn't just Henry learning it but me as well.
Then going on to use Bernard's lessons to fight Capon - remembering the moves & getting the execution right... and seeing Henry actually get better at it and even win...so cool!
30-odd years of playing games & I've never seen one that could do this.
Absolutely loving the whole experience!

Yeah i did. I was actually really surprised considering archery is utter dog tripe in this game. Managed to score some good shots. Enough to beat him anyway.

I didn't beat him at archery, since his challenge was the first time I used a bow. :)
But, I did kick his butt at the duel.

i beat him at archery, at hand to hand, at hunting and sword vs sword.

16 to 7 for archery, and ended up winning the sword fight too.

I also got invested in the main story early and it was my first time using the bow/arrow, and other than the obvious stricted evens, first time with sword too.

Considering the aiming of the bow is not centered, the flight trajectory of the arrows is not correct, and Henry cannot hold the bow for long or without swaying like a mofo, I would hardly call it a cheat.

I use it to help with aiming and I still miss shots occasionally.

Considering that the bow not being 'centered' is the point, That the flight trajectory isn't straight until at full power, and henry isn't a soldier. I would hardly call a cheat something else.

Missing shots is great. archery is OP, and giving yourself a huge edge is just cheating.

archery i thought i was gonna fail hard... didnt hit any target at the 1st tryout b4...and then vs him i hit 1 time XD more poitns tham him XD

I didn't beat him - tbh I thought you're supposed to lose there so I just shoot randomly and didn't care in sword fight.
Is there any special reward if I do beat him?

Is it worth it? Considering bows have a certain agility requirement...
I mean, is it the best bow in the game or just some cheap stuff.
