Finding Belladonna

Why is it so hard to find a Belladonna plant to harvest ?

I found some Belladonna plants under the clothing drying hangers between Peshek's house and the tanner in Rattay.

Leave Peshek's house, turn right, jump the fence into the tanner's back yard. The poles are there. Look for the Belladonna right beside the poles.

I had plenty of it all the time. It's basically everywhere, all you have to buy/steal/pick it. ;)
It's herb paris I had hard time to find earlygame... :(

You can find it in herb gardens throughout forests. There's a youtube video that shows you the locations if you don't want to explore yourself

Theres a forest that borders a stream next too the Bathhouse, near Pesheks out side Rattay. I can't tell you exactly where but near enough too the Bathouse theres a small footbridge that goes across the creek/stream.

If you cross here, going towards the forest, as soon as you pass the bridge, you come too a fork, two tracks one going left, the other going right.

Go right. Follow this track it goes to a "Forest Garden", that is the designation of this spot on the map it'll say "Forest garden" on the map.

Here you can find a couple of practically every herb.

No reason to explore yourself every inch of woods not watch silly "letsplays", just circle a bit around herbalists' huts. ;)

The best I found were nowhere close to herbalists
There's one next to Vranik of all places
Also there's a belladona plant right at the right post of the bridge that goes into Sasau monastery.

If you played the quest for the hunter in Rattay where you have to catch some birds. That place is AWESOME!!!! for finding Belladona. It is a pretty open area, and every bush is a beladona since there is no bushes there. You can easily walk away with +70 Belladona from that place. You can also get the mushroom used for Bane, all you need to do is to buy woodworm and you got the strongest poison in the game.

Just watch out on the way there, there is a random encounter ambush location on the road and there is a bandit camp in the Beladona area as well. You can also pick up some pretty decent armor and war hammer in a ruin located in a easy locked chest there.

EDIT:
Here is a screenshot of the best place I know of where to get Belladona. You can rush there as soon as the game start for real and collect as many as you want. If you can't find them you are blind, they are everywhere.

If you check your codex it will list the spawning grounds for all the plants.

I think I have a bug. I saw the plants in those woods and they did look like belladonas but I couldn't pick them up. Only places I can are in the herb gardens and at the bridge to the monastery

I will take a screenshot of the location. I ran there in my first 4 hours and now I got +80 save snapps.

There are some non-herb plants that look very similar to belladonna. The main differenc eis they will have purple/red all over, as it's the tip of their leaves, while belladonna will only have it near the top, as flowers.

To find herbs, I usually focus on their colour. Orange for "souci" (french name sorry about that), red for coquelicot, yellow for pissenlit/millepertuis, white for valériane, blue for menthe/parisette and so on.

But when it comes to belladona, I'd rather focus on its shape than its colour. I find it way easier to find them like that.

Best place I have found is SW of Rovna, along the road you take during Run. On top of the hill there will be 300+ Belladona.

Best place so far is Uzihtz. From the ancient treasure buried in the grave at the foot of the tree head directly back towards the village and you come to a yellow field. That field is covered in belladonna. Look above the height of the crop and also at the shape of the bushes.
