Beggars' feast quest

For some reason I have no dialogue option to give the boar meat and lepiotas to Alex the beggar from Skalitz. The quest is active and updated but there is no way to give him the stuff. Has anyone encountered the same bug ?

lots of quests may be active but you only get the dialogue when you have highlighted that particular quest as one of the ones that you are currently pursuing.

Yes, I already figureded out the difference between red and roe deers, however, I often get red deer meat when I kill poachers or cumans camped out in the woods, can you use that if it is not cooked, anybody know?

Yeah you can use that, you can also buy from a butcher, or buy back from a trader if you have recently sold some before getting the request.

One must bring him the 45x meat and 5x mushrooms at once, or else no related talk options appear.

Afterwards he asked for 45x boar meat once more, which may be because of the quest being broken.

this quest is only for one purpose: raise Skarlitz citizens favor.

if you're maxed out at some point, you wont get the Quest from Alex anymore.

happened to me in my last hardcore playtrough. I did some Skarlitz people quests before even talking to Alex later in the game and he never asked for meat because my standing with Skarlitz was at 100% already.

November 2019 and it seems this mission is still bugged for some. I tried to give alex the Hare meat (70 required and I have 84) and there is no dialogue option. However I feel I may have discovered a possible cause. The quest tells me I only have 45 hare meat. It might be that all the meat has to be at the exact same stage of decay to count as one lot of meat. 2 of my hares did combine but the others are separate in my inventory. Since my bow skill is low it took a while to hunt them. So, for hares you would need to kill around 4 hares in rapid succession. I'll try again later in the game.

Also some of these quests require you to have all the different meats they ask for not just one at a time , its gets tricky here as the meat can spoil so be fast or know how to brew Preserver. When you get the option to accept the handover give him all of what you have regardless.

I have this issue. The game recognised my harvesting the meat. I put it on my horse. The meat counter dropped to 0. I took it off the horse to give to Alex and the counter stayed at 0.

2 hypotheses: 1) Don't put it on the horse (even if you take it back off again)
2) The meat spoiled (I think it was at 42 freshness by the time I tried to give it to him)

Will keep trying and update..

There's a mod that allows you to reset quests. I'm not sure if this one is covered, but it might be worth a try.

You didnt cook the meat did you ? The quests to supply game all require raw meat, but cooked meat spoils slower, so I imagine some poachers habitually cook the meat at the earliest opportunity..

I'm guessing this isn't the case, another obvious thing like - is it on your horse ?

But thought I'd make a quick mention in case it helps

hunt the deer off the horse so the mission will continue

For whatever reason, I just retried that quest, went to the woods, killed enough hares to make sure I had the specified number/weight, went straight to Alex, and he took them and put in a request for red deer meat. So, I guess whatever I did the quest is alive and well again.

Same here. Perhaps it has to be fresh, or the quest checks for boars killed? Anyways. Finally that's done and after the following request also the quest is finally done.
