Lucky thief is out of luck?

Finding treasure chests was fun enough, until I had several that I could not crack due to low skill. You know, text 'lock is too difficult' appears, and lockpick breaks if you fart at it. I had to leave chests sitting there, but then I had trouble remebering which treasure maps I looted, and which I was to visit later.

So I stopped going after treasures at all, and painfully leveled up the skill rushing into people's houses, opening all locks, and taking nothing. Then at lvl 12 I got that Lucky thief perk, giving a 10% chance to open a lock if you break a lockpick. FINALLY! I yelled, and my cat was disturbed from his slumber.

I even tried the new perk on some random very difficult chest, and it worked! I found the dirty pice of paper where I had scribbled all those babies waiting for me to return, went to the closes one, and... nothing. I broke like 50 lockpicks. Guess it does not work with treasure chests. Why does it not mention that int hte perk description, as if lockpicking levelling was not miserable enough already... I mean, come on, I am seriously just looking for loked stuff to hone the skill, not that I really need to open anything or want to steal the smelly peasant's pants.

Pity. Made me sad. Cat is back asleep though.
