Interesting Sites?
Early in the game I came across a couple of "Interesting Sites" and found things like a "very easy" locked chest with gear in it and a pot with some spirits and Savior Schapp's. No that I'm further into the game I'm finding more of these Interesting Sites but unlike the ones I found earlier there aren't really any obvious "treasures". So my question is this: is there at least *something* worthwhile at these "Interesting Sites" or are they mostly just places that help pinpoint locations on the map? Because I've spent several minutes at each and more than half seem to be nothing.

I asked myself this same question. So far 50 hours, i don't belive they have anything "interesting" besides only a few with cheap stuff.

To be honest, i think they only added them to kinda "populate" the map. Otherwise the map would be even worse or let me put it this way, more empty.

Same goes for the Cross ones (which i think are the named backers of the game ?) to which serve no purpose at all.

The shines, if you get the perk, you get some charisma buff (Never tested, since, from what i can see, my Charisma caps at 10 max, could be a bug)

Thanks. This seems to be what I've concluded as well. I did some Google searches but there's not much about these Interesting Sites out there from what I can tell which prompted me to just come here and ask.

Good question, I also found an interesting site in the woods and i spent like 15 minutes looking everywhere but there was no chest or spot or anything. About the charisma thing, I think your total charisma is an average between your normal charisma, you charisma buffs and your clothes armor. So for example if you wear like a 11 charisma breastplate but you have 5 charisma boots your total charisma (without other buffs) would be something like 8.

A lot of places in the woods are secret storages of poachers. I think the places are a nice feature beside the cross-miniatures with (the beggar?) names on it. A lot of the locations are also graves which provide great treasures etc. Most of them are on the treasuremaps - some come with the treasures of the past DLC.

Yeah I was in the same boat & I agree I don't think there is anything special about them from what I can tell. Like you pointed out sometimes they'll have a chest or a dig spot or something hidden in a stream or bushes but for the most part seems to just be a random place with nothing special about it. I've found a couple sites I thought were interesting but weren't marked interesting lol like to the east of Rattay across the river really high up on the edge of the map there is an old house iin the woods with floating rocks, pretty sure you aren't supposed to be able to get to it cause its pretty much on a cliff so the only way down is death

Isn't "the treasures of the past DLC" for only those that pre ordered ? Well yeah, a few are the location of the normal treasures maps (I dont think i have the DLC ones), but i think there's many of the interesting locations that have no purpose at all, right ?

Yes but the chests & stuff are still there & they still have all the items, they just don't have the special armor & you wont have a map to lead you to the site

I bought the game on release-day on steam. So I think not.

Interesting sites by water, look for a pot with a stone on top by the waters edge, usually holds some booze.

Nah, The crosses actually play a huge role, in hardcore they help you navigate in far from town areas and such, other than that thou, yeah, they are pretty useless

old post - probably resolved 5 years ago.
I don't know exactly where but I found a pagan stone circle with offerings around the tree. One of the offerings is a potion that makes you hallucinate. I felt guilty removing the offerings, so I dropped one of my other items under the tree.
