nope that's nice and peaceful, typical bird sound. This sound made me think of screaming child, although not quite that human. It was bizarre and a bit terrifying considering it was night time.

was doing the second bandit mission so north west a bit across the river from rattal or whatever that castle is. I swore i was going to have some were children or some wight come out of the trees and kill me. Maybe it was a sound glitch or something, spooked me for sure.

Would spook me as well.. not a sound you would expect in this game. Skyrim, Fallout 4, some Zombie game but not KCD? Unless it was a easter egg, joke from the publisher?

take a picture but steam overlay doesn't work in this, could record it too but i be too lazy. The location is west of rattay past the river, if you follow the road from rattay you will pass a charcoal burner camp. I did replicate the sound too, it is painful to listen to.

I've heard it also. I THINK it might be a sound bug? It's the same yell for help when you rescue the Lord guy in the woods. I keep hearing "Help!" in ANY wooded area.
