[SOLVED] Revenge of the Cuman King

In Skalitz after I win fist fight against all three "Cumans" I challenge all of them to get my money. But when I knock out one he gets up and comes to fight me before I finish off the rest of them. How am I to win such a fist fight against all four of them when the ones I knock out keep coming back after 10-20 seconds? Is it broken, is it scripted? Am I supposed to not win this or am I doing something wrong? I have 20 unarmed and strength. I use buck potion, bjor's something potion, vitality potion. Am I supposed to knock all four of them so fast that none of them gets the chance to come back (which doesn't seem possible) and winning scenario triggers or is the quest simply broken?

Edit: Just save after winning against the so called "Cuman King" and then get into the fight with all four of them. If the ones you knock out come back attacking you instead of returning to their sitting positions by the fences, just reload and retry until they don't.
And the quest rewards you with 1000 groschen. Also they have level II and III learning books on them for agility and strength.

Reloading won't do, you have to beat them more than once. At first you have to fight them all at once and even after you knocked them out the fight isn't over (as you are not able to save). The cuman king and one of his choir boys will still attack you when you come close, so keep your distance from the other ones or they will engange once more. After you knocked them out a second time the fight should be over. Thx for the advice with the skill books, I had searched for them in the whole realm of Bohemia.

no, you see, that's a bug. after the three ring fights, you challenge all of them to get your money back right? but save the game before doing that. then when fighting all of them, you only need to knock each one out only once. if, instead of taking their idle position by the fences, they are attacking you after getting up, that is the bug I am talking about. if that happens just reload and challenge them again. trust me, you only need to knock them out once when the bug doesn't kick in. and reloading is faster than trying to take all four of them out over and over. about the skill books you are welcome.

I tried to reload like 10 times and that bug didn't go away for me. Strangely enough it first went away after I beat them three times at all, so I suspected that was the intended way to win this quest. Oh well, I hope they fix that issue soon.

After beating three times in all, they no longer get back up and try to fight me again. Problem is, now they run whenever I'm near. And the quest can't be completed - the exclamation mark remains on the Odd King and no quest rewards. Oh and one more thing... my reputation in Skalitz plummets to -100.

Guys, before you fight them all at once, take all their armors from them when you beat them in the 1v1. So you only have to face one armored opponent. This will save you a lot of nerves. Its so frustrating when 3 people beat you from behind all the time ;)

Excellent tip. This worked perfectly. And I can confirm that the other brawlers do not react when you loot their friends.

I finally beat this quest...took a few tries since they would surround me and if I ran out of stamina they will chain attack me until KO.

Used a trick with a barrel....they seem to get stuck on barrels so you can fight only a couple at a time. Looting their armor also helped.

I found that they would only get up after being knocked out by headcracker...if I hit them in the face enough times without a headcracker they stopped getting up.

Knock-outs by Headcracker, and "regular" punches are not accounted the same way : "headcracked" enemies are not considered beaten, and will wake up after a few seconds, while enemies punched to sleep (without Headcracker activating) will be considered beaten and stay unconscious for much longer.

I believe it appears after you've beaten all the fist-fighters in Rattay, Uzhitz, and Sasau.

Go to Skalitz, near the arena when you had your very first sword lesson. You'll meet four cumans, and one will offer you to fight for money.
