Tip for anyone struggling with archery
So I've discovered a trick with archery that seems to have made it radically easier that might help some people: Just don't hold the arrow for long. Pull it back and release it immediately and the arrow flies straight almost every time. The longer you keep the arrow nocked, the more random its trajectory seems to be. The quicker you aim the more accurate you are it seems.

Good tip thank you.

This actually isnt the case. The quicker you release the more random the shot. And with less power.

Actually a good tip is to use a much weaker bow than what you are capable of. If you have a 20 str and agi, and you use a bow that requires 5 str and 3 agi then you will be able to draw the bow much more quickly and steadily.

The single best tip for archery is to realize that the "sway" of the bow isn't random. It follows the same swing every time. So if you learn to fire just as the arrow reaches full draw it will always go to the same place.

Truth.

There is a sweet spot in the draw back where the arrow flies much straighter with little to no side to side divergeance. It is really hard to consistantly hit that sweet spot because there is no visual cue and the timing seems to be inconsistant. When you hit it, it almost feels like you've released too soon, before you've completely drawn the bow back.

Also, the more strength you have the faster you draw the bowstring. If the bow requires 10 strengths but you have only 11 then you will draw the bowstring very slowly. Try to use a bow that requires 6 strength instead and you will see the drastic difference. Lose the string as soon as the arrow takes horizontal position. Draw the next arrow as soon as you loose previous arrow. Stamina will recover before the animation starts so you will be able to shoot arrows one by one very fast without loosing stamina.

Use light armor. You will lose less stamina on any action if you use light armor. Shooting from the horse is a good idea too. You don't even need to handle the reins. Just press the run button after every shot. Horse will run a bit that will be enough to increase the distance between you and the enemy.

...and you have to aim more to the right and down..depending on the distance of your target..

This is in slowmotion so it really easy to see were to aim .and were the arrow is going !

You can also draw croshairs on your monitor with a pencil.

Bluetac is good too :)

...or use the dot crosshair mod from Nexus if you don't fancy typing in console commands every time.

you don't need a crosshair and the flight of arrow isn't random as the OP seems to think. You just aim slightly lower and to the right. from your nuckle.
