It seems no matter what i do i end up having to tell the bandit guys where timmy is otherwise i die. Is this supposed to happen or is it possible for me to stop it without killing them all cuz i dont see any other way im gonna find runt

Yea tried that twice but i guess my speech sucks he never falls for it

The X swords dialog option was a success for me. They said something about my balls and then ran off down the road. I hopped on my horse and chased them down and killed them.

the way i fought them was i took someones tip where you fight them on the staircase in the mill. you can also fight then unarmed and just get beat up and not killed. this one of the handful of bugs i encountered where i got knocked out, and then i think they were supposed to leave me there, time passes, and they get to timmy first.

what happened to me is the time passed but i kept getting up right away and not staying unconsious so i wittled them down to about 2 people lol. chased down one with an inch of health and beat him away, then the leader was left and i never found him

If you focus too much on the main quest without leveling and gearing up on side quests you will run into that kind of problem.

Have you tried just telling them to shove off & then running for your life? lol

Horse combat is very easy compared to facing the actual enemy

Horse archering would be the easiest combat option in the game
Sit on the horse, take a shot, ride away till you can take another shot and then repeat it all till they die

when you fight them on the staircase you can kinda 1v1 them to a degree. Dont let them get you into the mill itself tho, cause then you can get surrounded with little room to manuver or get out

I told them where timmy was. They leave one guy behind to guard you and 3 run off. Kill your guard. Then I rode one down on my horse, killed another with my bow, also from horse back, and then dueled the leader. I never had to fight more than one at once.

idk, i was able to kill off two of them quickly by having my sword out and attacking before they can unseath their weapons, and than i was able to surrender and they left me.
