What's the coin purse icon beside the city label on the map?

It should have a tooltip either on the map or on the reputation tab.

i guess you did something criminal. the coin purse means you have to pay money, for example you tried to steal something and you got caught.

Actually it does should be under the crime section. It means you were caught doing something illegal and you'll have to pay a fine if you're noticed by a guard. Just stay away for a little while and it will go away.

I see. Apparently that spreads to neighboring towns too since I had that on 4 of them, but they're all gone now after I paid the fine in one. Thanks.

AKA, you got cought trying to sell something stolen...(everything in the game pretty much) or you punched some one, an they told on you, or you know you nicked the wrong apple from a vendor that droped it on the ground*wink* cause nearly everything belongs to some one else even if they did try to kill you in the woods an you killed them first cause killing bandits is just what good people dooo....... to not being alowed to use there gear for fear of you being turned in to the local jerry for theft ......(sorry 12 rant of trying to play as a good guy dosnt lend it self well in this game.... just play as a theif an steal everything an get in good with the millers an you will have the money to buy them off)

Aha! Found it on the crime entry on the codex, though not knowing it was related to crime would make it difficult to get there.
