^^ That long thing in that stew looks like something I dont want to eat lol
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perpetual_stew
Its not surf and turf but hey, these farmers and peasants arent living high on the hog either it looks like. If its good enough for them its good enough for me!
That's one way to look at it, but on the other hand... "This guy is hoarding Groschen like a bastard and he's here eating OUR food out of our pot? You gotta be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kidding me!"
Maybe a temporary lowering to your conversational authority (or whatever is represented by the crown in persuasions) instead of a reputation loss.
Almost true... you're forgetting a tiny detail there: the explorers ate it after the locals invited them to eat.
Here you basically walk/ride into town and pillage the next pot you find.
Also another thing you forget: almost all those pots are
A - inside a house, meaning even though the area isn't flagged, those pots are the private property of some (literally) poor sod who will have to starve now
or
B - at the Inn, which happens to run a buisness selling that food.
So imagine someone barging into your home and pillaging your fridge ... or someone entering a restaurant, going all the way to the kitchen, eating whatever he wants and leaving just like that ...
Back in the day almost everyone was dirt poor, most of them were starving for weeks or months since they barely had enough food to not starve to death. The situation was bad enough that many men "stole game" (aka they secretly hunted) to not starve despite the horrendous punishment.
Honestly if you touch a pot without being invited the surrounding villagers should attack ...
EDIT: also remember it's a time of war in the game.
Yea I drop game into them all the time but does that actually contribute back to the pot?
Im guessing it takes time for that stuff to cook up.
Sometimes I throw spirits in there cause why not.
Well, ppl asked for a realistic reaction and the realistic reaction would have been you in the pillory or gallows. In dire times of war they might even go as far as using you to refill the pot :P
On the other hand I despise your thieving ways. Very degenerate.
Most people only like a few certain things though, I'm a fan of cheek, tongue and liver.
