The Queen of Sheba's Sword. Bugged?

So I need to get the sword piece from the Rattay swordsmith, but I've searched every trunk in the house and pickpocketed everything he has on him, and I still can't find it.

I also heard you need to give pickman a job carrying water to get another piece, but I gave him the "other" job before I knew. Is there any way to get it still or is the quest now locked because I didn't give him the right job?

So the quest is just gonna be unfinished forever? I can't even steal it from him? I didn't even have the sword quest when I did the Aquarius quest.

Yeah, cant do nothing if you dont do aquarius 'correctly'. People have complained about it since d1.

Well, that's disappointing. I hoped to complete that quest, and have one piece already - but I had no idea that a seemingly unrelated quest would break that for me. Is there any indication of a link between the two, when you're deciding on jobs? I don't remember seeing anything.

I think if you basically ask him for a bribe, he'll say he can give you a sword piece... But if you don't already have the quest for the pieces, how are you supposed to know you need it?

If I didn't take bribes, can I still get the quest done? Can I find him again somewhere and talk to him to get the sword piece?

It's dumb there's no way you can buy it off or steal it from him after the quest like you can with every other piece. Didn't even know about the sword quest until way later. I gave Pickman the poop carrying job because he said he wouldn't mind it, then when I talked to him after he gets the job he confirms he doesn't mind it. So then give me the piece, dude. The devs really should fix this, it'd be simple just to add it to his inventory.

The worst part of all is that the sword actually SUCKS and cost like 2-3k to buy from the smith after he forges it. It wasn't even worth using by the time I went around and got all the pieces

This. And then he suicide.. how so different with the character he acta to us. So dissapointing.

I'm mostly annoyed that I the quest is just going to take up space in my journal forever now, and I can't do anything with the sword pieces I already have, so they're just going to be in my inventory forever.

Don't worry i got 3 failed quests and i don't care, since incentive is ♥♥♥♥ anyway XD i got best gear and i am main lvl 20 with other stats and skills pretty high as well.

I'm not exactly playing this game to "win". I mostly play it because it's a very immersive RPG, and it kinda takes away from the experience when stuff like this comes up.
