Can't speak to Melichar in Merhojed

So there is this NPC in merhojed that I need to talk to but I can't. Nothing comes up when you look at him except for knock out option if you are sneaking behind him.

When? It takes some days until you can complete the final steps of that questline.

If I talk to Mattias in the barn there, or try to talk to the captive my game just loads indefinitely, have to close it with Task Manager, I literally cannot do the main quest.

I believe its because you "failed" the side quest investigating the plague, its becuase you then have to find the cure, from the Book in the Sasau Infirmary

Once youve done that you can speak to Melichar

Same here, I decided not to speak with him, just enter the doors with guard, you can then speak with the captive and pay a fine which was like nothing.

i think you can botch this quest by asking about the prisoner too early. you need to see that the prisoner is sick before talking to him the first time that way you don't turn him down. because unless you see the prisoner is sick the only option is to turn him down for help

you have to give the potion to everyone including the woman who's husband you burried, the guy who thinks ur his brother, the preist from the monestary and the guy who wants u to write his will. after that he will talk to u about the shed. (im not sure if you have to wait to talk to him about the well till you've done that but i did and didn't test it)

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! First the game won’t spawn Matthias even with console command. There i go completing every task with wiki and after i questioned the bandit now i can’t complete the quest cause Melichar won’t talk to me. This game is ♥♥♥♥ even i completed skyrim on switch without any console command. This game can’t even advance with console command

u can wait untill night, knock him out or pickpocket whichever ur good at and comfortable with, steal the letter then u can advance the quest
