my freaking horse is DEAD!

I fast travelled and skipped some bandit attack and it came out of fast travel and my horse was just lying on the ground DEAD.

Now it wont come when I call it at all but I can still see it in my inventory. Is this a bug or what?

No idea if a bug im on my second playthrough and the horse you get at the start was all i needed. did not even need to getanything for it and i dont think it ever took damage.

your horse does have health but ive also only ever had my horse get struck once by an archer. so i assume its possible

Just go away somewhere, further away from it. then call it. You either need to find a spot where u can press X on it to mount, or go far off the render distance and call it, it will come. Same thing happeend to me few times. I think it's more like an exhaustion then actual death of a horse.

Tried going halfway across the map and pressing x it doesn’t come

One time, i was on my horse, looking at the landscape, i stopped normally, turn left and BAM horse dead me on ground..... so yeah it happens

Yeah they sure can die, during bandit attack i accidentally slashed at my horse with longsword once and bugger went and died.

After that i have made sure that combat happens far away from my horse.

It wouldnt be a realistic game if your horse could magically resurect. Yes you do need to buy a new horse, which i recommend, because pebbles was literal ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ compared to the horses they sell at uzhitz

horses will comeback if "killed" im pretty sure it says it somewhere in the tab where you are looking at your horse. i have a pretty pricey horse and i would have had to replace it 4 or 5 times by now haha.
