Mysterious ways - Alternative to getting Father drunk?

I love Godwin's theology and when I had a drink with him I really got to like him so I didn't want to get him more drunk and make him break the sanctity of the confession. He said that he had an idea he would try in the morning but I can't ask him about it and when I wait until the next evening he's not at the tavern drinking again.

I can't tell if there's another way to solve this quest that's just really hard. I've tried digging up a grave at the chirch and searching Father's house and searching the search. I've also spent an hour scowering the rest of the town to no avail.

Don't know if I'm experiencing some glitch that prevents me from solving the quest or if it's just broken and there's no way for me to progress the main story now.

Keep drinking with him, eventually you will have a wild night with him and you gotta do his sermon on Sunday, but be aware, its pretty difficult, there is a guide here i believe to do actually finish it perfectly. Even if you fail the sermon, there are other ways to finish this mission, like going back to Raditz.

There are only two ways to complete that portion. Pass a hard speech check when you first talk to him at the church. Or talk to him in the tavern and drink with him all night.

I never drank with him, I went direct to him at the church and just used Charisma to convince him, so yes there are other ways. IDK if you can do that route after starting the drinking though

Nah it's either pass the checks the first time or get him drunk..... number 1 is faster but number 2 us much more fun.

So then it's broken. Report it so that they can fix it.

I didn't want him to break the sanctity of the confession so I did it the otherway (going back to Rattay and doing a small quest for a scribe)

I think I talked to the baliff in Uzhitz and that got me sent back to Rattay. Learning to read would be good but not neccessary (I think).

I just redid the quest with Godwin and his wild night. I was very attentive at what he said after I successfully gave the sermon and I'm not so sure he broke the sanctity of Lubosh's confession. The priest told him how Lubosh came to him to confess his involvement in what happened but Godwin says Lubosh didnt commit any murder, nothing was stolen... so what was the sin Lubosh confessed to? His association with killers with the intent of robbery but that was never stated.

I just declined to drink with him. I was confused about what to do at first because the map doesn't show any new updates, but if you look in your quest log it should say something about talking to the bailiff and if that doesn't work to check with sir Hanush or Bernard. Hope this helps. Bailiff sends you to Rattay like someone else mentioned before
