A Woman's Lot -- Weeds or Thistles ?
The DLC is a lot of fun. One of my regrets about the base game was that you didn't really get to take a good look at Skalitz, apart from the part that's inside the bailey stockade. I used to wander around the ruined farms in the Homecoming quest to get a sense of what things had looked like. In the DLC you can inspect Skalitz to your hearts content, as well as have conversations with the named villagers that you meet later on as refugees in Rattay. The DLC really ads a lot of welcome texture to the game's story line, if you take the time and trouble to look.

But the one thing I'm still wondering about on my second playing of the DLC is the very first quest. You're supposed to feed the chickens, feed Tinker, and weed the garden ( I always feed Tinker first so he won't get hungry and go after the chickens). You get a message that you've done enough weeding when there are still a few weeds left in the garden (and it may just be because of the way I do it, but the last couple of weeds are always in the middle, sticking out like eyesores). I would expect that message when all the weeds are gone, but I guess Theresa is not as germanic as I am.

The other thing that bothers me is the graphic sprite used for the weeds. I suppose if I think hard enough I can wrap my mind around the idea that thistles are weeds. But I was really expecting something that looked more like nettles, only shorter and stringier. Are the weeds looking like thistles on purpose, or did the art department re-use an existing sprite to save time? Thistles seem a bit too colorful.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ man, calm down. It’s not like he was going “GAME IS UNPLAYABLE” or anything.

To op, I’m pretty sure they are supposed to be thistles yeah. They may have just called them “Weeds” for that little activity so that some players wouldn’t get confused about which plants to get rid of

that was hilarious
This escalated so quickly lmao.
Graphic sprites really do need to be more unique. This is probably the worst offender, but there are one or two other instances in the course of the game where the graphics department was either rushed or getting mentally tired. My pet peeve is that most plants can't usually be identified by the image in the inventory menu, which makes it a lot harder to remember where you were when you picked them and what to keep an eye out for.

in Nicodemus's quest thistles count as weeds

Well, In a field of other greens or herbs, Thistles would be considered "weeds", while otherwise they might not (when used as ingredient for example).
If they just put them there, showing as Thistles, a lot of players would probably be confused by that, not knowing what to pick at first and maybe even going to the forums and creating discussions about it....probably way more than now, with them showing as weeds in this instance (where the count stands at 1 now I think) :D
