I just charge in with my horse and cut them down, or sneak in and night and pick them off. Would be good to have epic fights once in awhile though
This arbitrary stamina loss upon taking hits is overwhelming to scrubs who just wanted some form of actual combat, but they just drop like flies when the only combat they experience is being tumbled around and unable to strike when every time they do, the attack will be canceled as the next enemy uses 30 mana points to teleport onto a shrub and further torment the player.
Combat is warped and you will suffer unless you go ontop of buildings and loose some arrows into those darn bandits.
If there were 5 guys, 2 of them could stand and watch the show.
1. just shoot them with arrows while riding a horse. sometimes, they can stuck in a place after you have widen your gaps with them. shoot them like Legolas right to the eyes. some armors are pretty thick but if you have the best arrow with the best bow you can apply one headshot, but it won't happen in hardcore mode.
2. use pole arm and a horse. same old tactics like dynasty warrior. swing right swing left. thrown away from your horse? call it back while running to it.
3. don't let them surround you. make sure they are coming one on one (this can be applied in a real life situation while you are fighting numerous enemies). you can do this by using a narrow alley or just use horse to position yourself (horse is a necessary companion).
4. engage them at night with nighthawk potion
5. you don't have to use hardcore mode. it's insane how they are more well coordinated for an AI
6. you can also just scout them first by full speed galloping to their camp.
7. potions? bane potion to their camp (works best), apply bane potion to weapon? not really effective. aqua potion? not much but sometimes it works. artemisia? not really good. padfoot? at night like a thief
