Ginger in a Pickle can't go North

When I try to go North to speak to the coal miners my character refuses to go past a certain point and says "I have other responsibilities" or "I don't have permission from his lord".
Anyone know what I need to do?

One of the lines he says is "I don't have permission from Sir Radzig to leave" and strangely when I go to see Sir Radzig I can't talk to him but my screen flashes black almost as a conversation is trying to trigger but doesn't.

Do main story mission first. You still seem to be too early in main story line to have access to the whole map.

You are at the end of the map, you should look at your map where the coalminers are, go to your quest log (J) and go to within the boundaries of the yellow circle marked A .

I have finished the A part of the quest and now I am at the B part "Question the Northen coal miners".
The only other main quest I have is Vengeance

If I recall well, the miners tell you to look for the other miners and those will tell you to kill the bandits first (do that for an achievement later), go back and tell them you killed the bandits and they will show you on the map where Ginger is, by the way always talk to the spokesman

Stay away from the eastern fringe of the map. The border is slightly irregular and you can skirt the 'offlimits' portion.

It is worth exploring some of the map edge region, and some is fairly empty and doesn't significantly reward exploration beyond having been there... but to travel freely *along* the grain of the edge, just move slightly towards the centre of the map to avoid the boundary.

Yes, the charcoal burners tell me to go look North for other burners but I cant get to them. So I cant reach the bandits part of the quest.

You're going the wrong way. 'Other responsibilities' thing means you've reached map boundaries

That is BS. You always have full access to the map after you get to Rattay.

Press M for map it shows you where you are on the map.
Any quests active have an icon head towards that.
Look in inventory Quests Tab open Q on current quests it now details what you have done and what to do.
Main quests can have quests with in it.

Trust me, I'm not. I'm just going north following the path from the horse seller (whatever the name of the town north of rattay is) that was attacked.

This is precisely what I'm doing, can't do. "I shoudl get back befor sir radzvig sends a search party" or "I have to ask for sir radzvig's permission"

I really don't know what to do. I tried to start the quest loging back from a save I made before rescuing sir Hans Capon in the hunting main quest. It turned up the same.
