FPS Rate is f***ed after 1.9 patch
No matter the settings high medium or low, the game can no longer reach 60FPS I been pretty lucky with this game until now. I have a gtx1070 i7 7th gen 16gb RAM and it cannot get over 50 fps when before the update i was able to run high at 144. so whats the deal. why is there no effect no matter what option is chosen.

Have 1070Ti, i7 8th generation myself and the game runs slower on my rig too then it did before the patch. Also looks worse.

Why can't you people properly assess bottlenecks in your system?

Like, I know my KCD is bottlenecked by CPU because I frikking took a look at CPU workload.

How is that relevant to the game running worse than it did before on the same system?

I've lost a bit of fps with this patch too and I have a pretty solid setup, there are better rigs buts its defo not a potato, I've went from 110+ to 80/90 with settings on very high (HD textures).

I7 8700K (not OC'd)
Rog Strix 2070 OC
16GB @3000 Dominator Platinum
850 Pro SSD (OS and Game install).
H90 AIO, this could be better but still I'm not thermal throttling

The small drop in fps is not so bad for me since i still average around 80/90 fps, but there's times it randomly dips to 30/40 fps, and its completely random, I can be in an area of map with 90 fps, then suddenly it will just tank right down, I have to spin around in a circle then idle for a second and it shoots back up, its not really any specific area either, its just totally random drops =(.

It's relevant because your settings do not match your system, obviously.

Performance was reoptimized and improved, settings were rebalanced, not using proper settings is your failure.

And you don't even care enough to find out which settings affect performance and why. The spoiled millenial attitude.

How is that optimisation if it makes something worse? If the settings were matching the system couple of days ago, why the hell they would stop now? How is he at fault?
Why should he care ? If your car drove slower after mechanic worked on it, what would you do? xD
Deal with your attitude.

First of all, don't assume I'm not going through the settings you pompus, stuck up little sad person. Don't you dare come into my post, start giving attitude. I'm not a spoiled 'millenial', as you suggest, or I may take offence and tell the police you hurt my feelings.

I am so sorry I am thick and don't know why the game, that has been running perfectly fine for 25 hours, has suddenly decided to perform poorly. Bad Doctor, how dare you. You should know these things..... I am so disappointed, How can I ever live with myself. I may just slit my wrists right now. I am not worthy of this world.....(Hangs head in shame)

What about my family, what will they think of me........

If you are going to be rude in your answers, then continue to try and insult other. Then GO DO ONE!!!!
We are not interested in your opinion anymore, In fact I never was in the first place. Don't assume anything of any one, just because you feel safe behind your screen. You're just making an ass of your self.

GOOD DAY SIR!!!!

My man, this game is just poorly optimized.
I had 3 different rigs over last year and my current one is a beast capable to run most other games on full ultra settings 4K + modern stuff like RTX enabled.
Guess what? Nah, dont guess. You already know it. This game still "runs" like crap. On some PCs it runs fine, on other (even with top configuration) it has performance problems. Also people here have different standarts for performance (or lack of them which is more common). One guy can say that 59 fps on ultra is unacceptable and the other will say that "lol i have 30 fps on medium and i dont complain eks dee".
Remember GTA4? It ran like crap 11 years back, it still runs like crap now in 2019. KCD is new GTA4 in this regard, I have a feeling that in 10 years it will still run badly.
Also, sadly, this forum has many fanboys that will deny ANY problems this game has:
Small bugs - lol never met a single one! (but has screenshots of NPCs clipping through each other, true story)
Gamebreaking bugs - lol never happened to me so they do not exist
Bad performance - well this thread basically. Its everything but poor performance of this game, right, fanboys? User PC, old drivers, etc etc etc.

edit: I still consider this game to be one of the best games I've played in last 5 years and its definetely one of a kind.

k33th ... the point is that a LOT people are talking like you and never show their rigs.

Most of them have 2060 or 2070 and talk about running all games @ max with RTX blabla with xxx fps and that is not true at all.

CPU, GPU, SSD, MEM? List it all and settings.
Uber May 29, 2019 @ 2:06pm
I'm not sure if its a glitch or I just got lucky, but after the patch I had the same performance issues. What I did was, switch the settings to low, closed out the game and restarted it and switch the settings back to what they was. It might help, or I might had just been lucky I'm not really sure..
Bordy May 29, 2019 @ 2:55pm
Well this game as always get some issues; whatever is your pc specs.

That much I knew already - you came here only to whine, not for troubleshooting assistance.

Performance was improved in 1.9, and if you can't see that - you only have yourself to blame.

Maybe, but you can't optimize against stoopid.

KCD can run decently on a PC from 2012 (Core i5 + Radeon 7800, CPU being the bottleneck) - that's the scale of the whiners' ineptitude.

Wow, the ignorance here is pretty substantial. The original commenter doesn't even give much information on what CPU he has, just that it's 7th gen I-7... Which, if you knew ANYTHING about CPU/GPU bottle neck, almost no 7th gen I7s would bottle neck a 1070, it's HARD to bottleneck a 1070 unless your CPU really is god awful. There are even people commenting with their PC parts, THAT DO NOT BOTTLENECK their CPU OR GPU. - This game is NOT poorly optimized, just because you have a slow rig, or a rig that IS NOT SUITED FOR THIS GAME, doesn't mean it's poorly optimized. When it first came out? Yea, it was pretty poor, but over the last year we've seen some giant performance updates. Personally I run this game on very high generally, after this update I toned it down to just high which the HD texture pack.
ASUS dual oc 1070
2600x at 4.1ghz all 6 cores
16gb (8x2) 3000 corsair vengeance.
There is no bottle neck in my system, the game runs perfectly fine and yet, this update still affected it for me, and my girlfriend. Probably wanna learn what you're talking about before making fun of people for "The spoiled millenial attitude." When you yourself seem like some spoiled Gen Z kid who has no idea wtf their talking about, or even what a millenial is since you use it so liberally.
