Is there a way to reset Mutt?

Mutt is somehow bugged/stuck near the entrance to burned out skalitz and i cant get him to either follow me, go back to the mill or flee when i hit him. Is there a way (like a console command) to reset him or something?

Edit: I know how the dog companion mechanics work in the game

He will teleport to you if you get far enough away, or you can whistle for him if he doesn't.
If his obedience is zero then you can't interact with him and he will disappear for a bit. He will return later.

No that is the thing he does not, i have gone all the way to Ratay and back and he does not move. His obedience is fine, whistling does not call him to me (OFC have i tried that, i am not dumb as a yank). He just stands there like he is stuck/bugged

Sorry I must have missed the part where you said you had tried any of that or that you knew the dog mechanics. You try to help someone. Oh well lesson learned.

Can you hit him until his obedience goes to 0? Cus when that happens that typically resets him

Yes, i hit him with both fist and and sword and he took it like a champ :D

lure someone near (i think around are some bandits..?) and let him attack them?
or when u tell him "go back to mill" (not sure if u can and nothing happens or u cant) and then go to mill and sleep here one night?

in fact sleeping can help "unstuck" him / reset his normal route

he probably have some token for spawn like other NPC, but i cant find it

edit: after u will sleep at mill, try talk with Theres about dog.. like when u tell him go back to mill before..

Had the same problem,because of mods. it' easy to fix: go to manage content, uncheck women lot dlc, them check it again. after the new download, start the game with the mods,should be enought to reset his AI :steamthumbsup

Yes. The best way to reset Mutt is to necro an 18 month old thread. That's guaranteed to do the trick.

Thanks, i will keep that in mind. I restarted the playthrough back then. This is good to know if it happens again.

For many many years is some cases. I am for one still playing through Fallout 4 and sometimes i take Oblivion out for a spin. And if that is not far enough back, i sometimes play Fallout 1 and 2 and they are from the late 90's.
