fast travel event are literally game-breaking
I already lost hours and hours of progress because of those fast-travel insta-kill events.
♥♥♥♥ this game.
Why is a game that has such amazing atmosphere, level design and quests utterly ruined by such a short-sighted ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ combat system where you cannot flee together with random events that make you fights dozens of op enemies at the same time? ♥♥♥♥ this. ♥♥♥♥ this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥.

There’s OP ambush events? Never seen one. Then again, having a horse basically means nothing can kill you. Since you can literally get a full set of chain armor with some plate bits in Skalitz while running errands for your dad, affording a horse isn’t far off. Just gotta learn how OP pressing C the F while standing behind someone can be.

So get back on. I’ve done the get on get off get on thing in the heat of battle. Otherwise you just need to buy a better horse. Given how easy it is to make tons of money in this game, it’s like an hours worth of playing to buy the best horse available.

I just experienced this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ even without fast travel. I was riding through a forest, then FIVE bandits and their dog run towards me, the horse threw me off, when I tried to run, their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dog bit me, when I tried to mount my horse it immideately threw me off. I was chanceless from the start.

preach. Though I would say that the traps are fair enough if you see them from a distance. with fast travel, it literally spawns you inside the bandits tight budhole

Roads are dangerous so avoid them and don't fast travel if you can't handle it yet, that simple. Fast travel is designed for late game to make travelling routine easier, early on you're kinda supposed to explore.
Properly designed fast travel system must be an alternative for traveling on your own that also should cost something - currency, risks, in-game time, require certain character skills, etc. Skyrim-style fast travel where you can just jump around clicking on map is game-breaking nonsense, don't expect that from KC:D

Just need a better horse. The one you get for free is literally the worst to be had. Most bandit ambush events are spottable from a distance and the others are often against unarmored, poor fighters. You should be able to fight three drunken fools with clubs no problem. Otherwise you need to train more with Bernard.

The only safe route is, afaik
Talmberg - Glade Inn - Neuhof - Rattay - Ledetchko

If you use fast travel in bandit-infested areas - especially without stats and perks - you only have yourself to blame.

Accelerated time is a better method of travel anyway. Also works in hardcore.
