Your game, haha.
You can play the tourney a hundred times and when you don't play it, it always pops up that you failed the quest every few days! I will go further and say it is one of the top stupid things they put into this great game, not the tourney just the stupid notice and failure all the time.
Tourneys happen once a week, so you just get reminded about 11pm the day before then again in the morning on the day and that is it until the next week. If you lose the tournament or don't participate you fail the quest.
If there were no notices then you wouldn't know there is a tournament is coming up.
You can see all quests in your log there is no need for that notice. Maybe once like all other quests but don't spam me with it.
If you feel that you need that weekly notice then all I can say to you is and I would even say this to a DEV, most of all the other ongoing quests like (punch me) do not fail me and pop in my face telling us so every week.
