Yes, siccing him on enemies will alert them to you but if he's just running free, again, he won't alert anyone!
What about if Mutt's in aggressive mode ? I'm pretty sure he'll attack on sight.
Mode? How do you change his mode? Are there different modes for the dog? :) Im trying to figure out how this dog work. You dont happen to know how i feed him? How do i know if he is hungry? I can't find any stat that tells me his hunger or anything.
Have a nice evening!
-Lord Ovelix
You can switch Mutt's mode by talking to him. At first, you'll only have the choice between "Heel" and (roam) "Free", but as your Houndmaster skill improves, you'll be able to order him to hunt, search, attack, etc.
Praise him and give him food to improve your Houndmaster skill. :-)
Just as giving other commands and swithing 'modes' you feed Mutt through 'dialogue' with him
There are tons of chickens everywhere hit with your left mouse fist pickup using E and cook in cauldrine fire. Guards and villagers never say anything.
Dont send him back to the Mill as that gives him back to Theresa and you will have to ask for him back.
If you have from the ashes DLC and rebuild a bakery with upgrade you get the drier and can immediately dry all your food.
Pay the Hunter to train you and read books on hunting to increase your hound skills.
The seek skill is one of the best to find treasures loot and interesting places when just exploring. Especially when doing a quests.
However I've never noticed anything regarding the quality of food, but I mostly carry dried food anyway.
"Seek" is the best perk/mode IMO. Just remember that calling Mutt to your heel will cancel the current mode.
The problem with necroing a thread that hasn't been touched in over two and a half years is that things may have changed. There may have been patches since then which altered things such as AI behaviour.
So it raises the question of why 2-1/2 years later someone feels the need to resurrect it...who are the necromancers talking to?
Mutt can alert you of nearby enemies too so in a way he can be a positive for stealth. Something that seriously bugs me about him though is when I am sneaking up on people and mutt appears infront of me and I start getting the bumping/rubber band effect off him which stops me going forward. A few times I've been stuck on him then eventually the person I was sneaking up on turned around.
