Recommended QoL mods
About to jump in, but curious about which mods are recommended(QoL) for a first playthrough?

Though I see the game just got updated, so most mods would be outdated anyway. Still worth jumping in or waiting till their updated?

Try to stick to as few as possible, the ones you feel you need in order to make the game more enjoyable for you.

But you do need to be very careful with mods, for the reason you stated yourself. I checked all of mine after the latest patch, and nearly every single one was using old files from very old versions. Those files were missing all manner of tweaks, fixes and additions which have been part of the patching process, so were technically doing more harm than good.

It took me hours to re-make all the mods myself using the latest file versions. I had to do that though, as the vast majority of mods simply aren't being maintained by the people that created them... hence the reason they are all months out of date.

Always good to have mods that remove the unwanted stuff before your first playthrough. I would recommend -

Durable Items
A sorted inventory
Faster arrows
More friendly random events
Instand herb picking
Unlimited saving

All of the above mods are still working with the new update, provided you download the correct or updated mod version.

Unlimited Saving is the only one i use. Installed it after the first hour and never looked back.

I only use unlimited saving and the archery reticle. Instant herb picking I should also add though.
