How to improve reputation in "inn glade"

I killed people for fun at the inn glade long ago, then i bought DLC Band of Bastards. From I got quest to investigate in inn glade. However, people at there run away when i get close to them, so there is no way to investigate or talking to people who located at inn glade.
Can i have any way to contact with them? Or is there any way to improve my reputation in inn glade?

You could try to go to where they would tell you to go instead. If you go south-west of the inn, along the woods there is a merchants cart and a merchant. its literally 20seconds of a ride from the inn.
In the woods in front of him, you would find what your looking for if you look around.

oh thank you! by the way, I usually killed wayfarers passing near the inn.. Is there any problem occurs if i talk to the merchant you mentioned?
