Getting Jumped in this game is just... is BullSHT... It happens WAY too often and you are just a punching bag for the Enemy... Even with max stats and Max armor, you being punked around like a little bich. Being knocked though bushes and over things. It would be one thing if it was rare to see 6 on 1, but its like, every time your on the roads you have a 40% chance of being jumped by 9 guys. The lock on system on this game makes it 1000 million times worse, because you cant truly engage a target of your choosing. Your just a boxing bag to the AI... You cant fight 9 guys. Which I agree, you cant. but the fact that it happens SO often... is rediculous. I've been jumped by 4-9 guys 7 times, in just one sit down... And got my♥♥♥♥♥owned, even by unarmed pesants... Not because I cant kill them, but because I'm being battered around the whole ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ map like a drunken Stooper and cant stay on my feet for two seconds. They are literally knocking me OVER 15 foot tall trees n ♥♥♥♥... Thats all I see is Blue Haze and bushes...

If it was rare. It would be one thing, but the fact that its so NOT rare, really pisses me off...
Its basiclly the games's way of saying, OK now you die... With no choice but to die.

They dont fight you one on one, they jump you. You try to attack one, and 4 wrap around and hit you from behind... its a♥♥♥♥♥♥♥joke.

Like I said, its realistic, and yes you would get killed, 9 on 1. no matter who you are, but the fact that it happens so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ often, is what makes me want to throw the controller on the ground and walk away.

Its funny the first time. By the third time, your like, ok, this is getting old, by the 7th time... your like. Ok.. I'm done. This game is starting to bug me.

Yeah my only grind with this game is when multiple opponents gang on you and you try to move away and they hit you about 7 times in one go , lol

Isn't it possible to get past through them with a good horse, good equipment and horse skill ? Although yeah it happens often with numerous people, if you think about it this game's population must be 60% people and 40% bandits.

The 1.9 patch made the enemies much more aggresive. Previously, fighting 4-5 enemies was doable with proper stats, equipment and positioning. Now it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
While it may be more realistic, it is really annoying and detrimental to the gameplay.

When finally got somes...well use your horse, charge or flee.......(flee and come back to backstab^^)

You can use your bow from horse-back.

I totally agree with the OP, you cannot always ride your horse away or use your bow, sometimes the game just decides your dead.

They made AI super aggressive if you are not locked onto them and not in spitting distance, they will run up and start a chain of attacks. This means if 6 of them are far away at the start of the ambush, all six will be coded to run up to you and spam attacks all at once.

Due to how this game's combat works, taking hits drops your stamina, and blocking hits as well, meaning even if you are maxed out at your skills and level and has the best gear in the game, the weak peasants can punch you to death simply because you ran out of stamina (there is no defense stats to avoid losing big amounts of stamina on hit) and take 100% full damage from punches.

Armor basically reduces damage taken when you have less stamina and take a hit, but you still take a lot of damage still when you run out of stamina, and you will be stunlocked at that point.

First, don't fast travel unless absolutely necessary.

Secondly, stay OFF the main roads and travel parallel to them.

Those two will keep Henry from nearly all gangbangs!!!!

Or just don't fast travel at all, apparently. Devs oversight or they intentionally screw with the game's code and mechanics to just prove some point.

Maybe KCD isn't garnering enough attention so they are ramping up the 'difficulty' so it's playerbase moans enough.

So, basicly, dont play the game correctly? ... If you avoid the game part of the game, you wont get jumped.... Right, cause thats awesome game design.

Mods, install the 'increased friendly wayfarer' encounter mod... Apparently the increase in a ton of ambushes is because they removed the neutral and positive encounters like merchants, beggars, knights and mercenary encounters.

It's when you get the guy's in plate armour and they start tackling you, it removes every bit of stamina and you just die.

It's the only complaint I have against the game, the GFX/Story are excellent, but being forced to die (as that is what happens), is just ♥♥♥♥.

Just learn how to play the game as intended , take advice without baseless criticism and Archer801, if you are too dense to stay off main roads, (at night mainly), then you deserve to die often. It's just common sense!!! Just because the road is there doesn't mean you need to be a lemming and follow everyone to your death.
Common sense and some tactical skill goes a long way my friend!

This is perplexing to read.

I ride all over specifically looking for ambushes, slaughtering bandits like a mf Batman, and looting their warm dead bodies is my main source of fun and income in the game.

Getting shot by arrows - including horse - happens, being too confident when facing peasants may happen too. But manageable still.

You are doing something wrong, that's for sure.

Not really.

Some people just want to play the game, enjoy the story and complete it, these people use fast travel, and that's when the problem happens, sometimes you'll get instantly pulled off the horse before you even get a chance to flee, then you get constantly tackled which keeps you a 0 stamina and you cannot fight, you just have to die, there's literally nothing you can do when it happens.
