[SPOILERS] Casting Lots question
Hello. I'm doing the Casting Lots quest (in the A Woman's Lot dlc) and I'm supposed to get all of the money that Tailor Ambrose has. Can I complete it successfully even though I have a low drinking skill? I can't choose the "plenty of drinks" options, because I'll drink myself to oblivion, but when I don't do that, he just doesn't get drunk and he doesn't want to gamble all of his money. I'm currently searching for workarounds, but do you have any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

EDIT: You don't have to make him get drunk necessarily. You just have to lose twice at first, then wager everything and win.

You are welcome. Well, it felt like a normal way for me to bait him. xD

Never said that. :P It's just like a normal gambling trick. While I don't gamble, I know that the trick to make a gambler lose everything, is to make them win a few times, in order to make them believe in themselves and gradually bet everything. Anyway, have fun!

You can either outdrink him, rob him, and then convince him the next day he lost the money gambling, or hustle him into betting the house. Even more fun - lose the third time, and he'll talk about how he wants to buy a shop and you can bait him into betting the thousands he now has - no effect on quest outcome, but it must have hurt more!

I'm having the same problem as you, but I can't even get to the "loose twice to him at first" part, because I never manage to get him to want to play.
How did you manage that with a low drinking skill?

Just gamble with him. How is it possible not to have the option? Did you make him hate you or something? xD

When approaching him at the table I invite him to a drink, then suggest gambling. He says no, not until he's away from Sasau since he promised his wife.
After taking a drink, I try again. He refuses again, same excuse.
Eventually I either pass out or work my way through the dialogue and he leaves.

I can't "just" gamble with him. And no he doesn't say anything about disliking me, he just states that due to a promise to his wife, he wont until he's at his destination.

Just drink a bit. Ask him to drink with you, but don't drink too much. If he drinks enough, he'll gamble with you.

Well how much did you drink?
This video guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qfn1jMsiTZ0 says you need to drink with him three times using the maximum option each time. My Henry can't handle it. Using a combination smaller options, that makes it about 4 beers is not enough to get him to agree.
What was your drinking level at this point? Mine is 5 wtih Beer Bibber as perk even.

Could I put of this quest for later until after grinding drinking somewhat or is everything on a timer after starting the DLC?

I can't remember the details. I only remember that I drank just enough to make him play. I couldn't get him drunk, because my Henry was a lightweight, so I drank just enough to avoid getting Henry completely drunk. My Henry had a low drinking skill too. Just get him into the mood to gamble.

FFS I have same perk. They must drink vine or something. I can't make him to play dice :(.

You can literally steal him all money by pickpocket before you even start talk with him first time and than make him drunk and lie to him about how he lost money.
