Enemy dogs

Hi, what is the best way of dealing with enemy dogs? Mechanics of them are very anoying. Thanks

If it's actually an enemies dog, put it down. If it's just some random dog in a town, leave it alone.

Use the bow to take them out from a distance. Trying to fight them in melee is very annoying, particularly if being attacked by their owners at the same time.

That is my problem, there is other option except bashing them with shield etc?

I just run away from the enemies a bit, and since the dog is faster than the people it separates them a bit. Then you can attack the dog and kill it first and focus on the people afterwards.

AFter getting back into this game, they need to just remove these dogs. It literally makes things more annoying than needed.

This is what I do as well. I then spam the fast attack button a few times (kicking animation starts) until I'm literally "kicking a dead dog."

Still nothing? I get dehorsed by them instantly even with lv20 riding and the perks. I'm really close to just giving up on this mess (add one to the INFINITELY TALL PILE of oversights in this ♥♥♥♥♥♥-planned game)

Just drop fresh meat on the ground and they'll leave you alone.

in the middle of an existing combat?

Just run away a bit and drop it, try be quick in your inventory. If there's a tree or object nearby, run to the other side of it, the AI takes a few seconds to get into position.

If you're saying the dog will stop mid-fight to take a bite then okay that's something maybe I can do. I'd never have thought to try that. Thanks!
