Quick question about houndmaster.
So I recently began a new playthrough and saw that there's this new skill called "houndmaster."
I have no dlc installed or even purchased so I was wondering if it works without the "woman's lot" dlc, because I saw on the wiki that you need that dlc for the houndmaster skill to actaully work.
But wikis could be false or out of date so I decided to ge here instead to get more information.

Also side note, when I first woke up in the Rattay Mill it said something about the Rattey Tourney being some sort of dlc, even though in my previous playthrough I could just enter the tourney.
I also saw some place on the map that has some sort of dlc indicator but idk where it's located because the clouds were in the way. So what's up with that?

TL;DR does houndmaster work without the dlc?

(P.S. If anybody needs/wants a screenshot so that they can understand me better just ask)

Houndmaster as a skill is available, as is the change from 'Horse' to 'Sidekicks' in the inventory/character sheets, but you only get a hound to use with it if you have the "A Woman's Lot" dlc - either Mutt as Henry's hound, or Tinker for the section with Teresa or both.

Tourney is a dlc content, and with the current version the dlc content always has a specific marker to start it, on the map or in dialogue options.

The on-map marker is, I assume, the one in Samopesh, which is associated with the Tourney dlc.
The other dlc are accessed later in the game sequence than 'Awakening'.

Not sure about the skill, I guess it has no effect if you do not have the dog. Tournament is free DLC so every week you will get the quest notification about it.

Anyway you should get the DLC upgrade, they are awesome and round out the game very nicely.

All of the above, and just wanted to add you don't need to play the Rattay Tourney until you have found better armor / swords, higher skills and stats. I'd suggest leaving it until you have had some major training with Bernard.
Open your inventory open the quests tab and db click it to stop that constant reminder its on. Disable any quests and then re-enable when you are ready to play them.
Play some of the many many side quests and explore the whole map learn to read etc first .
