3rd person perspective

Hi,

I literally get sick from playing this game in first person, especially in combat. I've read about a mod that tries to implement a 3rd person perspective, but that has serious technical and usability issues.

Are there any plans to include the option to switch to 3rd person view? Maybe via a shortcut, so you can switch back when you need the 1st person view e.g. for ranged combat.

Dude, it would be an optional feature that you don't need to use if you don't like it. It would help people like me, who literally get sick from the current graphics, enable to play the game. Why would you hope that such a feature won't get implemented?

Jeebus. Literally every single RPG, except Skyrim, is Third-person.
I hope this game stays First Person.

I feel more immersed in this game than any other non-ots rpg. It's gotta be because of the graphics and the first-person mode.

FYI, CyperPunk2077 is going to be only first person as well.

Don't look to go into 3rd person. Instead look or ask to remove the motion sickness. You'll find hundreds of answers & tips.

First: disable head bob and motion blur.

Sucks man, this is a first person game. There are hundreds of third person RPGs (about 90%+) that you can play if it makes u sick.

There is actually a 3rd person mod for this game, infact there is pretty much a mod for any kind of complaint gameplay wise. Personally i think the 1st person is what gives this game its actual charm, especially when wearing heavy helmets or getting into fist fights to have blood roll down your camera after a bad hit.

u buy RPG with first person view.. and then u go on forum and cry about that and try force devs to serve you and rework this game for 3rd person view?

dude.. it wasnt implemented, because its RPG from first person view.. its not Assassin Creed..

RPG is "role playing game" not "must be first person view" and again like they said " it would be an optional feature that you don't need to use if you don't like it."

It will never happen, as they will need to rework every mechanic to work for 3rd person. As it is most mechanics wouldn't work in 3rd person. Combat, Archery (how would you aim?). Probably others but those are the two that stick out.
You could get the 3rd person mod but combat, archery and any other mechanics won't work, so you will need to switch to first person anyway, defeating the purpose.

I'm sick and tired of these self-righteous fpv-only dweebs.

Some people want to play this SINGLE PLAYER game yet are prone to motion sickness, why give them further grief with your personal preferences? It's not multiplayer, it's not the f__k always about you!

From my experience the second poster here is never helpful, only thinks about himself in this regard, the rest who are not helpful can go...

There are a few helpful posts, use the 3rd person riding mod at nexus, it cannot be used off the horse because the devs were too narrow minded (poll during beta testing was completely biased to their preferred outcome...) and didn't bother providing full animations for player avatar - it just looks completely stupid/jerky.
