Report a translation problem
In Hardcore, to get my bearings I look up at the sun or the shadows to find East/West, then look at the compass to find the direction I want to go, even though the compass doesn't say N,S,E,W - it has little markers that I use to orientate myself.
I agree, the icons on the compass are stupid and should be optional. But the compass itself is necessary.
I think it's possible to remove the icons via that minimize map icons mod, which also shrinks the icons on the compass.
They should have had another system for finding the quests imo, this one sucks and frustrates me.
