The compass is frustrating
I have a hard time finding the target with a compass and it doesnt say the distance to the target either, they should have done it like the witcher 3 instead

No they should revome it completely and make the player rely on quest dialogues and descriptions

Removing the compass entirely wouldn't enhance immersion, maybe in a VR build of the game, but not when I can only see 80 v-degrees FOV on a flat monitor.

In Hardcore, to get my bearings I look up at the sun or the shadows to find East/West, then look at the compass to find the direction I want to go, even though the compass doesn't say N,S,E,W - it has little markers that I use to orientate myself.

I agree, the icons on the compass are stupid and should be optional. But the compass itself is necessary.

I think it's possible to remove the icons via that minimize map icons mod, which also shrinks the icons on the compass.

As an option for you maybe but personally i want to find the target easy and the way it is now really suck.

They should have had another system for finding the quests imo, this one sucks and frustrates me.

You could use the personal marker, go to map view click on the spot you want to go place an X click X then you see that flagged marker when travelling in your compass.

Yeah but it still doesnt show the distance to the target, its confusing, ive never liked the compass system for games.

Agree I would really like to see coordinates added to the map. Especially since I screenshot a something and then have to screen shot the map as well to show where I am for coordiantes.

Yeah, they should just remove the compass or and put a mini map or something like other games, at least have a distance marker so i know where the hell the target is.

I'd like to see an in game map, not a minimap, but able to look down at the map and still move my character. I think Farcry 2 was one of the first games to do that.
