Want to roleplay thief? OK, get into those dirty dark clothes. Tired of it, want to rush your way knight-like? Here is your set of shiny bulky armour and a huge claymore. Skyrim did not work this way. You can change your clothes, you can stop crouching, but when you swing your sword it will be weaker than when you stabbed them from behind with your upgraded skills. In KCD there will be difference, whether you stab them the 100th time or the 1000th, they will feel the same pain they do when you swing at them. UNLESS there is a skill progression system I do not know of.
