This was from Steam, yes? Probably a false positive, but let me know what it labeled it as and which anti-virus and I can look into.

*EDIT* Also, what file did it detect?

So multiple people now... very strange. I can't even find any definitions for "Win64:MdeClass". Which Windows version are you two using?

I did some scans online and it passed all 52 scans/anti-viruses (including Avast). This is on Windows 10.

Can you update your anti-virus and comfirm it's still detected? Or use this online tool to confirm by uploading the .exe: https://www.virustotal.com/

i have avast and no problems.

Ya, I'm thinking it was a false positive, but was later corrected (since it's no longer detecting it using their online service).

I have updated the Virus definitions to the latest and updated to version 12.2.2276 of avast free. The Virus warning does not come up evey time now, but still appearing.

I have submitted a false positive claim to Avast. Not sure if that will do anything.

this is just a shot in the dark but maybe when you added the "Visit Steam Workshop" button this started occuring, since it opens a browser inside of wayward, maybe it's opening the browser in an old/unsafe way

nothing else in the game would really trigger it, and it's only started appearing now i'm guessing

Good news everyone! (insert Futurama image)

From Avast: Our virus specialists have been working on this problem and it has now been resolved. The provided file won't be detected by Avast anymore.

We will be patching a fix for those who can't (or don't) use the Steam overlay so the workshop (and other links) open in your default browser instead of in that browser window thingy. Not sure if that's related to why it was detected, but should be fixed now either way. Coming up in beta 2.1.3!
