How to refine tin ore?
I found some limestone and ground it into powder, but what do I do with the tin ore? I thought that was also supposed to be ground up and then used with the limestone powder in the furnace?

Yeah good question. Depending on what ore you're trying to refine they will need different components, basic ores such as copper and tin will need talc powder, where as more complex bars such as iron and bronze they will need a trifecta of powders: Limestone, Talc and Coal / Charcoal. Some unique tools are required as well such as a sand-cast, tongs, hammer and anvil. For a sand-cast you'll need greed sand which is refined sand (with a pestle and mortar) and some clay flakes and some logs or stones depending on what material you want to make it out of. Some ideal setups are to have a 3 tile radius around you including a furnace to the north tiles, anvil to your east tile and a chest to your west tile (with the tools, ores and powders inside it to save on inventory weight) because these items and crafting stations are in your direct vicinity, your character will draw from them without needing to activate them.

Refining the ore (and this goes for all ore I think) requires:

Talcum powder (mine Talc, craft at mortar and pestle) - consumed
a cast (sand or clay or wood)
Tongs (craft from pole and string)
Anvil (Build from rocks and logs)
Hammer (rocks and pole and string)

Limestone and carbon powder are needed when making bronze (from tin and copper). You don't need them for tin itself. Talc is probably going to be a bottleneck, collect it whenever you can.

you need talc powder! it looks similar to limestone when you're hunting for it!
