Already saw that one, thanks for the help but I tried everything with V-sync
Yes it does look really like it
The effect does happen in VR (with Oculus Rift CV) as well as in non-vr mode.
I am using Nvidia GeForce Experience to optimize the game and to keep my drivers up to date.
Any other ideas I could try out?
Nope it’s a Nvidia GPU
I tried installing the game on my SSD, and i noticed the lag was gone the first 4 corners in California Highway. Maybe this is a solution for you
I have moved the game to my SSD and unfortunately the issue still appears. Seems to be a different thing then. Just wondering what it could be. I even installed the latest drivers which have been just released and still am facing the issue.
Must be some sort of driver/hardware issue or whatsoever I assume. Just had the same problem in Assetto Corsa for the first time last night. So maybe not only PC2 related.
However, PC2 still has this weird issue. I monitored my computer with the MSI Dragon Center Mobile Tool (lets you see computer stats on your mobile phone) and CPU Clock etc was fine. Windows Task Manager, however, shows 100% CPU Usage exactly when this issue occurs. Steam FPS Overlay shows 1 FPS. So there indeed seems to be an issue somehow with the CPU / CPU Usage.
I have one important change to my previous description:
This issue "does not" occur when not in VR mode. I unplugged my Rift and sensors and started the game regularly without Oculus VR mode and I had 120 FPS stable.
My previous mislead information was based on the fact that I had the Rift enabled, but looked on my PC screen where this issue also occured. Which, in the end, make sense as the Game still renders the Rift.
So this, for me at least, is only an issue when in VR.
Any ideas on this, anyone?
I also tried disabling Oculus Rift's Async Speed Warp (ASW) feature, without any noticable difference.
i have the same problem and i never use VR as i dont even have any VR gear, using an AMD processor
