Politics aside
Devs can have opinions and feelings. She was bummed that EA dumped a bunch of games from like 20 years ago into new and trending. It's a valid opinion. Awful luck for a first time release. They should look at the policies regarding how many games they can just dump as the new and trending section has major impacts on new Devs.

I didn't think this game was for me because of its style, but then I realized I had played it for over an hour. It's cute, simple, with lots of thought and detail put into it. Worth a try.

I'm sorry I had a bit of a rough day yesterday and spoke with emotion. No fault of EA's, just frustration on my part. I now know to avoid Thurs/Fri release dates on any future titles.

Thanks for checking out the game, and I do appreciate the support.

If intentional? Do you think for a second this game was on EAs radar, and they care at all about this game doing well or bad? This isn't some nefarious villian story. Its just bad timing. Thats life.

Totally agree, EA's dump is extremly disruptive, its basicly a full page and everything else gets pushed away.

Also agree, this was just bad luck, theres no way EA was aiming at pushing THIS game off, just bad timing. She probably had no idea they were dropping this insane amount of old games on here, i think nobody did.

Yah, it sucks for sure, but to think it was some sort of campaign is just silly. Seems shes definitely got enough attention and media now though, so if anything, it worked out for her.

Yup, again, this was VERY bad luck. Hope they make some good sales, its not my kind of game, but i wish for her success.
it's overly dramatic imo for her "happy international womens day" comment at the end. It makes it sound like she was personally targeted by EA rather than just some bad luck. I highly doubt EA was waiting for her to drop her game for them to release all of their classic games. It's just that last comment really soured me a bit. Hope her game does well but devs need to realize their social media presence can make or break you. See Phil Fish.

You're grasping in order to create drama. Ever been dissapointed in your life? Like REALLY? It doesnt feel good, it kinda makes you loose your mind for a couple minutes, and thats whats going on with her. Leave it be, and move on.

Fair enough but when you put stuff on social media, you open yourself to criticism and while it sucks that this happened to, she now has more eyes on the game whether that is bad or not. This happened to another indie dev awhile back so I understand that it's frustrating but EA was not planning this at all.

Completely understandable, I would be very upset myself. Hopefully you got signal boosted to offset any loss of sales from the EA dump.

I am also having a lot of fun with the game. Thank you for making it! The music is really relaxing for me.

I'm here because of the post. It reached it's target audience with me, so I'm not complaining. I have so much respect for small dev teams, even more so solo devs. I realize how much work and sacrifice goes into a project like this. So, to have all that pushed below the fold because of a big retro release from a giant conglomerate must really suck. I empathize and I hope this social media bump works out in her favor. Imo, if anyone deserves the extra opportunity, it's the little guy. Thanks for the new game!

I also bring a recommendation if anyone is interested. If there is a game company you are not fond of there is a two step process to removing games from showing up on trending for that particular company. I usually don't buy EA games in general so it works for me at least.

-step 1: On a game companies game page (any game), there it will list the company name which is clickable. If you click it you head to the Steam (that companies) banner. There will be a tiny cog to the right of the name, you can click it to "ignore this company".
This will stick a line through all their games on anything on the store to let you know it's from that company.
-step 2: On the trending store area, now all that companies products will be lined, if you look closely there is a 3 dot box when you hover over each of their games on the trending list. You can click and ignore the games individually using those dot boxes. The ones you ignore will vanish from showing up in trending ever again until you change it.
Sadly there does't seem to be a flat way to totally ignore all the games from showing up without doing this process, but this is the way to clear out games you are not interested in them showing up in the future.

You should address this on your other platforms, cuz that's what brought me here.
