FOV way too low, Mouse speed way too high
Sensitivity is ridiculous, even on the lowest it is still insanely high.
I can not find an fov setting and the default FOV is unplayable for me.
If anyone has found a fix I would appreciate it if you let me know.

Mouse sensitivity will be fixed today. Any higher of an FOV and you start to get too much distortion. We're looking into adding a field for customizing this value but it likely won't make it into today's build.

Thanks for the reply. Would you be able to tell me the value of the fov? I look forward to trying the game once the mouse sensistivity patch rolls out.

It's currently set to 75, which in Unity is quite high, the edges start to stretch and make the world feel like a tunnel when you go to 90 (Vanishing of Ethan Carter in Unreal). The two engines handle FOV a bit differently. You can read about it here:

Mouse sensitivity patch is uploaded to Steam and just going through some testing before launch.

Thanks for the information. :)

Unity use vertical FOV so to have the FOV 90 (Unreal - horizontal) we should use 59 (vertical). With my experience I can say that in your game it is set to 50 vertical (75 horizontal) - for me not playable.
Could you provide some config file where we can change the FOV manually? I can enjoy the game with some distortions or tunnel but if the FOV is less than 90 horizontal/59 vertical it is annoying for me and cannot play with fun. I am an old player witch using mouse, keyboards and sit just before very large monitor, wider FOV is mandatory to enjoy the games. This is really sad that developers forgot about such players, I know that most of them using controllers and sit on the couch but such people like me should be more.

Yes we're looking into some form of fov customization. If we're going to support it however, it will be in-game.

Good to hear that your looking into it. Personally I have no problem with distortion if it means I get a more comfortable FOV.

90 FOV minimum is required so I don't get simulation sickness which happened a bit while playing for 30 mins or more. Also the mouse is a bit sensitive at low settings yes, but the bigger issue is there seems to be a delay on mouce movement. latency issues?

I think its mouse acceleration. At least it felt like there was some acceleration. I put an hour and a half into the game earlier today and its pretty fun.

There's a setting in the gameplay menu called "mouse smoothing". You could try turning that off and seeing if that helps the latency issue.

Will do. Thanks for being helpful :) I can't say the same for alot of devs.

So does this game use Vertical or Horizontal FoV?
SOuNDSNC  [developer] Sep 4, 2016 @ 11:29am
Unity uses vertical field of view. Horizontal field of view is calculated from aspect ratio.

And is set to 75 default? Sounds wide, considering 59 vertical = 90 horizontal.

Adding a slider would certainly help, but at least it's not under the accustomed ~90 horizontal.

Yes, 75 is the default. It's really the largest fov we could get without significant distortion. I'm a big enthusiast of high fov especially in outdoor scenes so you can take in more of the world.
