xbox1 controller lt/rt not working

the controller is ok, i play other games normaly, but the 2 triggers (RT/LT) dont work on the surge, i alredy try to change the controller option but still not working, anyone have some advice?

(on mouse and xbox360 controller works normaly)

Hm, my xbox-like controller works fine (also has analog LT/RT like an xbox-controller). Things i can think of: Has your controller a button to switch between xinput and directinput? then xinput is the way to go. Does this problem occur in other pc games too? Try to unplug all usb-things except the controller, unplug the mouse as soon as you double clicked the game. Close all periphery software (look at tray, or end every process in the task manager which you can think of as something about periphery). Try reinstalling the game. Try another usb-port for your controller. Deinstall an reinstall your gamepad in your device-manager. Meh, i dont know.

It seems that the game controller is not correctly configured from Steam:

1. Run Steam then switch in 'Big Picture Mode' (upper right).
2. Go to 'Settings' (upper right).
3. Click 'Controller Settings' under 'Controller'.
4. Click on the game controller under 'Detected Controllers:'.
5. Click on the button 'CALIBRATE' then on 'START'.
6. Once the calibration done, click 'Calibration completed'.
7. Exit the Big Picture Mode and run The Surge.
8. Select 'OPTIONS' then 'PAD' under 'CONTROLS'.
9. Set 'CONTROLLER IMAGERY' to 'PS4' or 'XBOX' (following the controller model).
10. Select 'CUSTOMIZE' and check the controller bindings.

but in other steam games seems to work fine, i already try to change controler imagery, but no sucess.

Thanks for the awnser, i think o dont have the switch to xinput and directinput, the problem dosent occour in other games and besides unplug the mouse i malready try everything :(

Please remove the game controller from the Big Picture Mode:

1. Run Steam then switch in 'Big Picture Mode' (upper right).
2. Go to 'Settings' (upper right).
3. Click 'Controller Settings' under 'Controller'.
4. Uncheck 'PS4 Configuration Support' or 'Xbox Configuration Support' and 'Generic Gamepad Configuration Support'.
5. Click 'OK' then exit the Big Picture Mode and run The Surge.

The game controller will be managed natively by the game.

i just solve the issue, but idk what exactly make the difference, but:

1- unistall driver/device of x1 controller;
2- restart pc;
3- go to "set usb game controller" on windows options
4- properties>recalibrate>apply

now everyting works.

Xbox Elite Series 2 controller. I found the solution at least in my case, if you try everything and the LT and RT buttons still not working, humor me and get the Xbox accessories app and test the buttons out. It seems that my RT button sensor is broken, it keeps “pressing” itself. I tested in steam and the RT and LT would not work at all. But in the xbox app you may find the issue like I did. Hopefully is not your case. Try a different controller I’m using Xbox X controller for now until I fix the elite.
