Tell it an enemy has an unknown schematic?

Does the enemy highlighting tell you if he has a schematic you have yet to discover/ unlock or just highlight if a body part is armored or not? Playing on the Steam Deck so the screen is a little small. I can't discern if the game calls out unknown schematics or not. Personally I don't think it does. I'm admittedly bad for missing the forest for the trees so I could be missing something.

If it doesn't, just trial and error (or mental note) to make sure you get a good mix of parts by targeting different body parts?

it tells you if there's armor (yellow) or nothing (blue), as you should be targeting armor only when you want to farm it.

which armor they wear is pur visual.
but here is the catch, the Mk-Lvl of crafting matz you get is bound to the armor type.

lynx and rhino will always drop MK-1 parts, even in late game.
"astronaut", liquidator and scarab will always drop MK-2.
works same way for MK-3 and -4.
MK-5 however is special.
you can loot exactly 20 MK-5 parts per run.
plus there is a certain late game enemy that drops it when killed the right way.
(yes its a 100% drop, if killed correctly)

also when crafting or upgrading you can use (R) to skip MK-Lvls.
so you need less matz but more scrap.
