As upgrading goes. Up to MK IV you should not have problem getting materals, so there you should not feel limited by upgrrading. Only MK V materials are limited in NG.
this is not quite correct. you can actually get infinite nanite cores in ng and beyond. the nanite mass enemy drops em. its rare but it happens. so technically no material is limited past a certain point. but nanite masses dont appear till the very end of the game.
it is a 100% drop, but the condition to actually drop cares is super tricky.
the big slime splits into a medium n a tiny verion once its health reaches 0.
the medium version can only be killed once the tiny one died,
by overcharging it while its on low health
now to the loot condition. its all about the tiny one.
you have to kill the tiny one without itself selfdestructing EVEN ONCE.
( the tiny one tries to explode while close up, leaving you stuned, open for a hit combo of the medium one. )
